The fact that I just ran 6 miles for the first time in a long time and I did it in 10.5min miles seems silly, given the destruction at home. But I am still proud. Google "alexandria storm damage." Looking at those photos in Old Town and Del Ray, we definitely, definitely had tornadoes. There're 20 inch diameter trees snapped off like asparagus. I know thunderstorms, and that doesn't happen in a thunderstorm. The reduced humidity will make the heat more bearable though. Particularly for those who'll be without power through the weekend... maybe including me. I am happy to be safe in WV; I had just driven out of town when the storm hit, and was doing 25 on the parkway worried about trees coming down on my car. Sooo thankful...
