for lack of anything more noteworthy to blog about: i went to the store yesterday while i was waiting on my pizzas to be ready. it was only a block away, so i had plenty of time to kill. and i didn't want to carry anything too heavy or bulky in addition to my pizzas the 7 blocks back home so i didn't really get anything i needed like milk and oj, just crackers, cookies, and chips... stuff i've been craving because the three of us girls have been eating like Buddhist monks (hence the pizzas too). anyway, i eyed the oreos, but they were $6!!!! so forget that, then i picked up a package written in italian with pictures that looked remarkably like "papa cookies" but i wasn't sure and i really wanted chocolate so i was excited to see some off-brand oreo-type cookies just above eye-level. they were pretty cheap so i bought 'em.
they're sugar-free. and what's worse, not just sugar-free and bad-tasting, but also made with splenda. which makes them sugar-free, bad-tasting, and bad-tasting again, for lack of a bigger vocabulary regarding icky fake food. adding insult to injury, they're not even crunchy. why bother? good thing abby's taking us to the store tonight.

wow, and i thought 2 blocks was far for me to walk from the grocery. ha. but that's because my first trip there was spent restocking everything i needed (all $120 worth--yeah, i don't know either). but i DID walk to get some good mexi food the other day! you'd be so proud of me!
My parents are FREAKS about Splenda. I wouldn't be surprised to walk into their house and find them eating a bowl of it by itself oneday (though they have been watching what they eat, so maybe they'd throw a little something else in with it.)
