i'm a wimp.

y'all, it's hot here. which is fine, when you can go inside and into the air conditioning. i know it was blazing in sc today, so i'll not complain too much, but abby and i went to target and lowe's tonight to get some relief. well, that's not why we went, but we did enjoy the ac while we were there... just today, i've laughed to the point of tears twice in conversation with abby - it's gonna be a good year.
so abby doesn't dry her hair, she has a lot of it and it's wavy, so i can imagine it would take forever, and she was asking my opinion on hair dryers since she was getting one today. (yes, someone asked me for beauty advice: my mother's chin just hit the table) i told her that, though it sounds ridiculous, the ion ones really do make my hair look and feel better. well, turns out, they must make everyone's hair better, because in the few years since i purchased that hair dryer, they've almost stopped making non-ionic ones. wierd. now the challenge is: which ionic hair dryer is best? i asked what tourmaline and ceramic do to make a hairdryer more expensive to which abby replied "they increase the magic!" apparently some combination of tourmaline and ceramic make for more ions being shot out at one's head. but then one dryer boasted of being able to be non-ionic as well. "don't i always want more ions?" she asks. i don't know abby, i just don't know... but i think so!
finally she settled on an intenionally lightweight one (don't worry, it had plenty of ions) but it was out of stock. so she'll have to wait for her ions for another day.
later on, a discussion of facebook profiles had me doubled over.
yea.
oh, to round out my post with a return to the title: my stomach is sweating. and i'm just sitting here.
