beauty.

i honestly have no idea how i ran across this article, but i was captivated by it and hope you'll take 10 minutes to skim it, if you're not too busy for beauty.

i framed an opinion while i was reading, particularly influenced by my current immersion in Eat Pray Love. while there are some universal truths about beauty (we are evolutionarily programmed, for instance, to feel beauty in nature - even, or perhaps especially, if you refuse to see beauty in nature), i think we each should seek our own likes. so if you're drawn in by a busker, and he or she is not world-famous, all the better. let your neighbors affect you.

Thanks for posting that...what a great commentary on society (and a nice fit with all the Dorothy Day I've been taking in of late).
