so, miraculously, mom and i went to the movies today to see the devil wears prada. cute movie; not what this post is about.
i always check to see if there's toilet paper in the bathroom stall that i use in a public restroom... well, almost always. (at this point, you think i went to the bathroom at the movies yada yada hilarity ensued right? nope.)
this means, i always know which stalls have and don't have toilet paper before i use one. at least all the ones leading up to the one i choose to bare my bottom in. so it never fails, when there is a toilet without accompanying paper products, that someone else comes in to use it while i'm in there... i always want to say "oh, there's actually no paper in there..." but i never do.
why is this? what prevents me from saying one sentence that would make this woman's life that much easier? how does someone willing to travel the globe to help people refuse to get over a teeny weeny vocal stumbling block?
not a very interesting real post, but a real post nonetheless.
later.
oh. in non-real post-related news: 2 days til takeoff.

Hmmm... perhaps it is the knowledge that you would be speaking to a total stranger whose pants are now down. This is not exactly a question you can ask Emily Post about.
It isn't as scary to say as you think - but if you really want to help a fellow female out, tell the closest responsible looking employee - they can probably put some more in the bathroom and you wouldn't have to say a word to anyone in the actual bathroom.
heather - you're so sensible...
OMG you just couldn't spare a single square, didn't elaine off of seinfeld have this problem... but no her incident was out of spite -- haha, this post was refreshing!!!
