check my blog to see if anyone had posted anything exciting on my page while i wasn't looking... now i check it to see if anyone wants to run my life for me for a little while... i'm tired of it... i think God's up for the job, i just can't seem to hand over the controls... and when he's gently reached for them i've snatched them back just in time to screw something up...
the mass sunday was just for me though - complete with special effects thanks to the big guy himself. "weather the storm," "be not afraid," "trust in Christ," *booooom* thunder *boobooooom* it's the first time i've been disappointed for a homily to end - no offense to any priests, it's just that fr. clark seemed to be personally counseling me in front of the whole parish... i might have been embarassed but i was too riveted to be so.
as i read in the living faith a couple years ago and have since taped to the inside of my calendar for ease of consulting, "uprootedness can spark growth."
so here i am, roots laid bare by a mighty windstorm, contemplating reaching out to grab some new soil... not quite ready to commit.

Isn't it amazing how "be not afraid" always seems appropriate but is so hard to actually apply to life's circumstances?
I'm forwarding your comments to the Priest Personnel Office so they can be put in Father Clarke's file ;)
