TGIF

i feel the need to blog though i have nothing to say. and really i think my new inspiration is a new reader! so thanks katie, for making my blog bloggy again! (you really should get a blog, because as you can see by my own, having a blog doesn't mean you have anything important or entertaining or even particularly interesting to say, it just means you get pretty colors to call your own and a place to write secret messages to your friends, if you have few enough readers - you could showcase ABE!)

so i'm at work and my office is extremely homey now - almost homier than my home. which is nice, because i spend more time here than i do at home, but it's also slightly disturbing because my office is more organized, better decorated, and less cluttered... and all i do is read things here.

i wish that's all i had to do at home! alas...

next week i'm off to atlanta for 4 days: 3 days of "intro to groundwater investigations" and several hours of driving and seeing friends :) yea. but what was my major again? geology? and how many grad level classes in hydrogeology have i taken in the last 2 years? 3? good thing i'm getting 3 more days of it. i think it's funny, but i've heard it's supposed to be a really good class and it'll be geared more toward life and less toward the academic study of life... sean, i'm glad you teach something useful... so much better to be a shop teacher so people can build things than a lonely lab instructor - so people can... stir things? that's pretty much all i remember... except the part about acids and bases... i remembered that when it was important a few days ago... though, ironically, i think my 40-hr osha was more useful in that situation, since we both had headaches and had to open a window (good thinking sean).

my peace plant is happy. and peaceful. even though sean thinks it's ugly. good thing plants can't read. or use computers. or jump on my head from the top of my file cabinet.

bye friends!

i'm concerned that you're devaluing the important skill--no, art--of stirring.

i may teach for a living, but i stir for fun. i mean, c'mon.
